Baby Bjorn One Carrier: Why to Choose and How To Use
The Baby Bjorn One has long been one of our top picks for a front carrier that can do it all! Serving kids from 8lbs to 33lbs, the Baby Bjorn One allows for a front face in and out as well as a back-carry.
Why We Like It
We love the Baby Bjorn One for it's one-and-done appeal. If you want a carrier that can take you the distance, this is a great option! We also love how it's so intuitive. They've even color coded the clips on the sides so there's no mistake - red to red, and blue to blue.
Another big plus of this carrier is that your little one sits in a pouch on your front, so it's truly no-fail. You don't get the skin to skin benefit, but for many the security of the carrier trumps that (and you can do that at home anyway.)

Baby Bjorn One Written Instructions
1/Use zippers to set seat position. Newborn seat (min 8 lbs, 21in), Baby seat (min 24 in, max 40 in). After closing zipper, push zip puller into locked position - make sure it's fully closed and locked.
2/ The seat width can be adjusted with the help of two zippers on the outside of the baby carrier. Open the zippers enough to allow the child to move their lower legs freely.
3/ Put the carrier on over your head like a sweatshirt.
4/Place the back yoke below your shoulder blades. Adjust height and width by pulling vertically and sideways.
5/Buckle the waist belt at your back. Wait for a "click" to show it's locked. Tighten by pulling straps.
6/Loosen shoulder straps by lifting the outer edge of the buckles.
7/Unbutton the head support on both sides. Push the button and pull upwards.
8/Unfasten the safety buckle on one side. Push the button and pull downwards/inwards.
9/Place the child in facing you with their legs on either side of the front section and their arms through the armholes.
10/Fasten the safety buckle (and listen for the click).
11/ Lock head support on both sides. Listen for a click.
12/Adjust head support. Press the buckle together so you can pull it up and down like a zip to the desired position and then tighten the head support adjustment.
13/Attach leg straps on both sides of carrier for babies smaller than 10lbs. These straps help secure baby in the carrier
14/Tighten the shoulder straps and check baby's face is clear while in the carrier.

Tips For Front Carrying
- When carrying a newborn you can wear the waist belt higher up around your stomach to bring your baby close enough to your face to kiss the top of their head. Remember to adjust the shoulder straps accordingly.
- If your little one is too big to use the armholes, they can rest their arms above.
- If you want to carry your child higher up, lift them from underneath while you move the waist belt higher up. Tighten the shoulder straps again.
- When carrying baby in facing in position, open the side zippers enough to allow the child to move their lower legs freely while keeping their knees in a high position (frog position). When carrying facing out the zippers should be completely open. When carrying on the back the zippers should be completely closed.
- If you want extra airflow, choose the One Air!
