First Look: The Kona Stroller by UPPAbaby

We're fresh off the ABC trade show (the big one in the baby industry!) and am happy to announce that UPPAbaby has a brand‑new set of wheels rolling into the lineup: Meet the Kona, arriving September 2026. Designed to slot perfectly between the hearty, road‑ready Cruz V3 and the mini‑yet‑mighty Minu, the Kona will be a great choice for our families who want something smaller and lighter but still robust.

Sized Just Right

Think of Kona as the “Goldilocks” of the UPPAbaby family. Its wheels are smaller than the Cruz but bigger than the Minu, giving it that sweet spot of maneuverability: a smooth, city‑ready push without the bulk. Whether you’re weaving through Manhattan sidewalks or cruising suburban blocks, Kona is made to be nimble, responsive, and confidently sturdy.

Reversible Seat + Easy Fold

One of the standout features: the reversible seat that lets your little one face you or the world, and the stroller folds in a snap either way. No removing the seat, no wrestling, no drama. Just a clean, intuitive one‑hand fold that makes life easier. We love this!

Storage That Works Hard

The Kona’s underseat basket holds up to 30 lbs, which is pretty impressive. Your dachshund? Sure. Your Trader Joe’s haul? Absolutely. Your entire “just in case” parenting kit? Go for it.

Plus, the stroller’s footprint stays compact enough that it doesn’t feel like you’re pushing a cargo ship.

Comfort for Every Ride

A full recline and adjustable footrest mean Kona is ready for naps on the go, long outings, and everything in between. It’s built for comfort without sacrificing the sleek, modern look UPPAbaby is known for.

Our First Impression

We’re impressed. Kona fits the bill for many families' wish-list: It's lightweight but not flimsy, compact but not cramped, feature‑rich without being overbuilt. Kona's wheels are big enough to handle the streets but not so big to add excess weight when you need something lighter.

The Cruz still will hold its ground as a more robust solution for the city streets - better at off-roading, parks and curbs, and the Minu will still be the master of the overhead compartment on the airplane, but the Kona will rock it for those who want something a bit smaller and more manageable, still excellent for the day to day adventures NYC affords.

We can’t wait to have it on the floor.

Coming September 2026

After you’ve soaked up all the sun, sand, and summer adventures, and back‑to‑school season rolls around, the Kona will be waiting, ready to take on fall, winter, and every season after.
