Make Mine A Double! What You Need To Make Your UppaBaby Vista A Double Stroller

UppaBaby vista double configurations

Wondering what you need to make your UppaBaby Vista a double? Read on! Whether you have twins or a toddler and a baby on the way, the UppaBaby Vista can be configured just right for you. Let us help to break it down so you add to cart just the right parts you need to get your preferred set up.

Twins

First of all you should know, when you are configuring the UppaBaby Vista for two children, the bassinet is a no-go for the upper position. We think it's something about the balance. The only exception to this rule: TWINS!

Here's what it can look like if you have twins:

What you need to achieve the UppaBaby Twin configuration:

2x Bassinets

To achieve this look here's what you need:

1x Bassinet (included in your original purchase of the UppaBaby stroller)

1x Extra Bassinet

1x Upper adapters (this hoists the upper position child higher to make room for the lower one)

1x Lower adapters (this affixes the 2nd bassinet to the frame of the stroller)

2x Mesa/Mesa Max Car Seats

2x UppaBaby Mesa or Mesa Max Infant Car Seats

1x Upper adapters (this hoists the closer car seat up to make room for the 2nd one)

1x Lower adapters (this will affix the 2nd car seat to the frame of the stroller)

2x Maxi Cosi Compatible Car Seats (Nuna, Maxi Cosi, Cybex)

Note, if you have 2x Maxi Cosi Compatible Car seats, instead of getting the Upper and Lower Adapters, you should get the:

1x Maxi Cosi/Nuna/Cybex Car Seat Adapter

1x  Lower Car Seat Adapter for the Maxi Cosi, Nuna and Cybex.

Easy Peasy!

Upper Mesa Car Seat, Lower Bassinet

If you'd like this configuration, you'll need:

1x Mesa / Mesa Max car seat

1x Uppa Adapters (to create the distance between both seats)

1x Bassinet (included in your original purchase of the stroller)

1x Lower adapters (to affix your bassinet to the bottom position of the stroller)

UppaBaby for twins

Uppa Maxi Cosi compatible Car Seat, Lower Bassinet

You'll need:

1x Maxi Cosi/Nuna/Cybex Car Seat Adapters

1x Bassinet (included in original purchase)

1x Lower adapters (to affix your bassinet to the bottom position of the stroller)

Mixed Age

What You Need To Achieve The UppaBaby Mixed Age Configurations

As we said, the bassinet cannot be in the upper position unless it is configured for twins and 2 bassinets. So, when you accommodate mixed age kids, the bassinet takes the lower space, and your older child is closer to you. Don't worry, it's not for long!

For this you'll need:

1x Toddler seat (included in original purchase of Vista)

1x Upper adapters (to add space between seats)

1x Bassinet (included in original purchase of Vista)

1x Lower adapters (to affix the bassinet to the frame in the lower position)

Mesa Car Seat, Rumble Seat

In this configuration you get the baby closer to you. Take note of the fact, however, that children should not be in the car seat more than a couple hours at a time when they're newborns and still developing head and neck control.

You'll need:

1x Mesa Car Seat (or Mesa Max)

1x Upper adapters (to make space between seats)

1x Rumble seat  (this comes with its own adapters, so you can affix it easily)

UppaBaby double configuration

If you have a Maxi Cosi car seat instead, you'll need:

1x Car seat adapters (Maxi Cosi, Nuna, and Cybex)

1x Rumble seat  (this comes with its own adapters, so you can affix it easily)

Toddler Seat, Rumble Seat

Once baby can sit up (generally 3-6 months), you can configure the Vista Stroller with two seats.

For this you'll need:

1x Toddler seat (included with your original purchase of the stroller)

1x Upper adapters (to create room between the seats)

1x Rumble seat (comes with adapters to affix to stroller)

EXTRA EXTRA!

There's one extra thing that you can do, if you would like baby closest to you and your toddler in the further seat. Configure as above, with the seats facing the parent or top seat facing the parents and bottom facing out. Recline the upper (toddler seat) all the way. You might have to adjust the rumble seat and note it will be tight. Then put the Infant SnugSeat in the top position, reclined all the way so that baby can lie flat (appropriate from newborn up).

UppaBaby Infant Snugseat

This sidesteps a couple restrictions with the stroller's configurations, as we know you want the infant as close to you as possible most of the time, and you don't want to worry about whether you've over strolled around with baby in the car seat (as we said, only 2 hours at a time, ideally).

What you need:

1x Toddler seat (included with your original purchase of the stroller) - Upper position

1x Upper adapters (to create room between the seats)

1x Infant snug seat to place in toddler seat (Only for Upper position: note it does NOT work in the Rumble seat).

1x Rumble seat (comes with adapters so can affix to stroller)

PiggyBack Board for Three!

If your two becomes three, don't worry! UppaBaby's PiggyBack board is a ride-on for a standing/walking child so that there's room for everyone!

Hope this helps to demystify and give you loads of options to configure your city-favorite UppaBaby Vista stroller!
