Weekend Pick Brooklyn Botanic Garden Lightscape

We're always looking for cool ways to spend our weekends and celebrate the holiday season. This weekend's pick is the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, always a treat during the day, but this season, it's even better after dark! The garden has been illuminated by a spectacular spectrum of lights for Lightscape, their magical lighting extravaganza, set to music. Make your way down a winding trail and take in the beauty accentuated with lighted sculptures, colorful effects and water features. Music adds to this sensory experience, setting the mood with seasonal scores from the Nutcracker, Disney's When You Wish Upon a Star and other classical favorites. The lights dance to the music across the lawn-it's enough to convince you that in spite of it all, there is magic left in the world. The trail begins at the Visitor Center and exits at the Eastern Parkway entrance. Tickets should be purchased in advance, $34 for adults, $18 for kids 3-12, and babies 0-2 are free.
