Art Walk: Central Park!

Who’s that girl? On 60^th and 5^th, we ran into a curious woman, camera in hand. Yes, it was none other than famed photographer Diane Arbus presented by British conceptual artist Gillian Wearing. This life size bronze is disarming, Arbus’s finger on the shutter button of her iconic twin lens camera. A plaque nearby is inscribed with  a quote from the creative force: "If you scrutinize reality closely enough, if in some way you really, really get to it, it becomes fantastic.” Perhaps this will inspire your little one to be his or her own shutterbug, looking close to reveal the fantastic in everything around them!
