Art Walk: Public Art Fund Installations Everywhere!

global positioning We’re walking the city this month taking in the awesome art that’s all around us. Even Bus Stops are in on the game! A range of bus shelters are right now featuring Public Art Fund’s Global Positioning, artworks by 20 international artists that grappled with our shared humanity across boundaries, geography, culture, language, history and politics—notably during our shared experience of COVID. The artists come from all over the world, from the Amazon rainforests to the desert land in Central Australia. It’s an interesting to think about how united in experience we have all become during this time. The selection of artworks featured show a blend of thoughtfulness, hope, incisiveness, and wit. Moreover, their works illustrate a common impulse to create, communicate, imagine a future filled with possibility. Take a walk around the city and stop to take in all of the amazing unexpected art that surrounds us!
