This is How we Roll this Summer!

Let me see your John Travolta / What’s that you say? / I say let me see your John Travolta . . . You know the rest! When we heard the Rockefeller Ice Rink was transforming into Flipper’s at the Rink, we opened the closed and fished out our pastel pink skates with their fluorescent yellow wheels ready to test our moves in the middle of Manhattan. [Bust out our JT Moves!] Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace is a celebration of the 70s in the 50s (specifically between 49th and 50th). Definitely a weekend must-do if we’ve ever heard one!

And that’s not the only place to get your roller groove on –in fact, this one is downright groovy! The TWA hotel over at JFK (which is the coolest throwback staycation I can think of!) is a cool day trip or overnighter for city families looking to make some highly instagrammable memories, not to mention awesome milestones of first 4-wheeler! The Roll-A-Rama at the Runway Rink is the place to skate your heart out to some retro tunes and the busy background beat of New York’s international airport. A fun fact: the checkered rink is made of 2668 tiles, sorry to the poor soul who had to count those!! Roll-A-Rama is open Fridays 4-8pm and Sundays 12-8pm. There are skate rentals of quad skates or you can BYO. In fact, you can even rent the rink which in our mind is an AWESOME birthday party-a-go-go! Check out Roll-A-Rama at the TWA Hotel.
