Newborn (0–6 months)

Not with seats alone. Both the main seat and sibling seat are designed from approximately 6 months. To use the Kangaroo Double from birth, add a compatible bassinet (sold separately) in the lower position — this creates a mixed-age setup with a newborn in the bassinet below and an older child in the main seat above. Car seat adapters are included in the box, so a compatible infant car seat can also be used in the lower position as an alternative to the bassinet.

Infant (6–12 months)

Yes. From approximately 6 months, when a child has sufficient head and neck control, both the main seat and sibling seat are suitable. Both are reversible and reclinable with adjustable footrests and reflective comfort harnesses. The main seat is larger (19.7 x 12.2 inches); the sibling seat is sized for younger or smaller children (17.7 x 11.8 inches, max. 40 lbs).

Toddler (1–4 years)

Yes. The main seat handles up to 50 lbs and is designed for children through approximately age 4. The sibling seat is rated to 40 lbs and approximately 40 months. When a third child needs to join, add a Bugaboo wheeled board (sold separately) for a ride-along option.
