The Lolly 3-in-1 Convertible Crib by Babyletto leads with dramatic contrast styling — natural tapered feet set against the painted frame, gently curved corners that soften the silhouette — and backs it up with the fundamentals parents actually need. At 53 lbs it is one of the lighter full-size cribs in its category, which matters in walkup apartments and narrow hallways. The low-profile design is explicitly short-parent approved.
The toddler bed conversion kit is in the box. Four adjustable mattress height positions carry you from newborn through the standing-in-the-crib phase. Hidden hardware keeps the exterior clean. Built from 100% solid New Zealand pine wood, GREENGUARD Gold certified, FSC® certified, lead and phthalate safe. The Lolly collection includes coordinating pieces for a fully styled nursery.
This is the crib for parents who want a joyful design statement — something that brings a distinct visual energy to the nursery without being so bold it locks the room into one direction. Babylist's editorial team saw the same thing our clients see: great style, honest value, all the right certifications.

Best Modern Crib — Babylist |
Best For / Not Ideal For
Best For
• Parents who want a distinct visual personality without going full statement piece — the contrast styling and tapered natural feet bring character to the room while the overall silhouette remains versatile
• Shorter parents: the low-profile design is explicitly short-parent approved, making it meaningfully easier to place and lift a sleeping baby without strain
• NYC walkup apartments where crib weight matters during delivery and any future rearranging — at 53 lbs it is one of the lighter full-size cribs available
• Families who want the toddler conversion included from day one: the kit is in the box, covering crib to toddler bed to daybed without additional purchase
• Those building out the Lolly collection for a fully coordinated, joyful nursery
• Parents prioritizing style alongside safety: Babylist's Best Modern Crib designation reflects both — the editorial team evaluated design and certifications together
Not Ideal For
• Families who need a full-size bed conversion: the Lolly is a 3-in-1 and converts to toddler bed and daybed but not a full-size bed — the Gelato 4-in-1 is worth comparing for extended convertibility
• Parents seeking a fully neutral or minimal aesthetic with no visible design accent: the tapered natural feet and contrast styling are signature features of the Lolly and define its look
• Very compact rooms: at 53.5"L × 29.75"W, confirm the footprint works before purchasing

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Lolly specifically good for shorter parents?
The Lolly's low-profile design keeps the top rail at a height that shorter parents can reach over without straining — an ergonomic advantage during those early months of frequent newborn placement. It is one of the few cribs that explicitly acknowledges this as a design consideration, and parents who have struggled with taller cribs in the past consistently notice the difference.
What does "contrast styling" mean on the Lolly?
The Lolly's painted frame is contrasted with natural tapered feet left in the New Zealand pine's own wood tone — two finishes on one piece, which is what gives it its visual depth and personality. The natural feet against the painted frame is the Lolly's signature look, the element that makes it feel designed rather than standard.
What does 3-in-1 mean, and is the conversion kit included?
The Lolly converts through three configurations: standard crib, toddler bed, and daybed. The toddler bed conversion kit is included in the box — no additional purchase required for any of the three stages.
Does it convert to a full-size bed?
No. The Lolly is a 3-in-1 and converts to toddler bed and daybed, but not to a full-size bed. It is suitable from newborn through approximately age four. If full-size bed conversion is a priority, the Gelato 4-in-1 is worth comparing — ask us to help you decide.
What mattress does it take?
Standard crib size: 52" × 27.75". Babyletto recommends the Pure by Babyletto hypoallergenic and eco-conscious crib mattress line. Ask us what we currently carry.
How does the Lolly compare to the Hudson?
Both are 3-in-1 convertible cribs built from 100% solid New Zealand pine, GREENGUARD Gold certified, with the toddler conversion kit included. The difference is design personality. The Hudson's open spindle silhouette is clean and neutral — it disappears into any nursery aesthetic. The Lolly has a distinct visual identity: contrast styling, tapered natural feet, curved corners. If a parent wants the crib to be noticed, the Lolly. If they want it to work with everything, the Hudson. Both are excellent; it's a style preference question.
Is it GREENGUARD Gold certified?
Yes. Tested for over 10,000 chemical emissions and VOCs. For a crib a baby sleeps in from birth, that certification is one of the most meaningful indicators of material safety available.
Can I see it in person at Babesta?
Floor inventory changes frequently. Contact our Tribeca store at 56 Warren Street for the most current information on what's on display.
Why Babesta Carries It
The Lolly fills a specific spot in our lineup: the crib with personality and price accessibility. Most of the cribs we carry that have a strong design point of view come at a higher price point. The Lolly brings contrast styling, natural wood accents, and genuine visual character at a value that Babylist's editorial team specifically called out in naming it Best Modern Crib.
The short-parent approval matters more than it sounds. NYC apartments tend toward shorter-than-average parents navigating nurseries in tight spaces, and a crib that acknowledges ergonomics for the person actually reaching into it every day is a practical differentiator. We hear about it from clients after the fact — the Lolly is consistently mentioned as easier to use during the newborn phase.
At 53 lbs it is also one of the lighter full-size cribs we carry, which makes a real difference in walkup delivery, in-room setup, and any future rearranging. The fundamentals — FSC® certified solid New Zealand pine, GREENGUARD Gold, four mattress positions, toddler conversion included — are all exactly where they need to be. The Lolly is the right answer for parents who want the room to feel joyful and designed without paying a premium for it.

A Note about Lead Times
Some furniture is handmade just for you by expert craftsmen. That being said -- good
things take time. Typical lead times are about 8-12 weeks from most workshops,
and white glove delivery can add between 2 weeks to the lead time, depending on
the distance the pieces are traveling. Lead times are estimates only. We quote
lead times to the best of our ability, but a number of unforeseen issues can
delay orders. Lead times are not guaranteed. Shipping times are not included in
estimated standard lead times.

Receiving & Inspecting Your White Glove or Curbside/Threshold Delivery
On the day you receive your furniture, it is important to remember to take the
time to inspect your delivery carefully. You are responsible for properly describing any and all damages on the shipper's waybill or delivery receipt. If
you don't note the damage, it gives us very limited recourse to assist you afterwards.
Our shippers go to great lengths to avoid damage, but it's possible it can occur. Please review the following guidelines to inspect your furniture while
the shipper is present:
-Whether your order has been specified for white glove delivery or curbside delivery, it is important to open all packaging and inspect every piece before signing the waybill/delivery receipt and the delivery team leaves your home.
-If your furniture has been boxed, inspect the boxes for damage. If the boxes show
any evidence of damage or heavy wear, note this on all copies of the shipper’s
waybill/delivery receipt. A damaged box could be a sign of hidden damage.
-If the delivery driver refuses to wait while you inspect the furniture, note on the waybill/delivery receipt, “driver refused to wait for inspection of
contents. Final inspection for damage will be made when packages are opened.”
-Document any issues or damage (no matter how minor) in detail on the shipper’s waybill
and ask the delivery driver to co-sign the waybill/receipt.
-Minor damage like a scratch or even replacement of a door or drawer, is best handled
through repairs which can easily be done at your home or performed by furniture
medics on behalf of the shipper.
-If the damage is substantial, refuse the item and have the shipper return it to the sender for repair or replacement
-If your shipment is missing any pieces call us immediately at 646 290 5508 and have the driver note the shortage on the waybill. Advise us of any missing
pieces and we will trace the shipment. If the missing items cannot be located within a reasonable time, the missing items will be re-ordered.
-If your shipment is missing any hardware call us immediately and have the driver note the missing hardware on the waybill. Hardware can be sent directly to your home.
***Not sure what to do?***
-If you need assistance with damage at the time of delivery, call us at 646 290 508.
-Email us digital photos of any damage so that we can best determine how to resolve
for you. Email photos to support@babesta.com
-If you do not inspect your furniture on arrival and do not note any damage on the
delivery receipt/waybill, we do not have recourse to assist you with repair or replacement. Please take the time to document any issues.
-If you sign the delivery slip without any written comments you are indicating that your delivery arrived in perfect condition
