Can I install it without the base?

Yes — in fact, Liingo is designed to be used without a base. You can install it using the Integrated LATCH connectors (when the vehicle has lower anchors), or the European belt path, which provides a secure baseless installation using the vehicle seat belt. A Liing/Liingo base is available separately if you prefer a traditional base installation in your personal vehicle.

What strollers is it compatible with?

Is it good for 3-across seating?

Yes. At less than 17 inches wide, the Liingo's narrow profile is specifically designed to make 3-across installations possible in most standard back seats. This is one of the few infant car seats where true 3-across is genuinely achievable rather than theoretical.

How long can my baby use the Liing?

The Liingo accommodates children from birth up to 30 lbs or 32 inches tall (whichever comes first). It is a rear-facing-only seat; your child should remain rear-facing until they reach the seat's limits. After that, transition to a convertible seat.

Are the fabrics safe? What does flame retardant-free mean?

All Liingo fabrics — across every color and fabric option — are free of brominated and chlorinated flame retardants, as well as PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances). Some car seat manufacturers add chemical flame retardants to fabrics to meet flammability standards; Clek uses different material and construction approaches to meet those standards without the chemicals. The Ziip fabric option is also PFOA-, PFOS-, PFC-, and fluorine-free.

Are the covers machine washable?
