The toddler seat itself is designed for use from 6 months onward, so newborn use in this configuration works only through the included car seat adapters, compatible with Clek or Bugaboo x Nuna infant car seats. That's inherently time-limited, since a car seat holds baby upright rather than lie-flat. Families who want a dedicated newborn sleep surface in the toddler seat position can add the bassinet fabric, sold separately, since the bassinet itself is not included in this configuration.

Infant (6–12 months)

Once baby reaches 6 months, the toddler seat itself is ready for use and pairs with the Sibling Seat for an older child riding along.

Toddler (1–4 years)

Babesta's team recommends this configuration especially for two older, non-newborn children: the Sibling Seat is built for a child past the newborn stage, and the puncture-proof wheels and front-wheel suspension keep both kids comfortable over city terrain.

Is It Good for NYC/City Use?

The extra-large, puncture-proof wheels and front-wheel suspension smooth out the ride even loaded with two passengers, and one-hand control over the fold, handlebar, and recline matters when you're managing two kids solo. The included car seat adapters and large, pocketed basket round out a stroller built for actual daily errands, not just a stroll.

The Kangaroo Double Seats takes the opposite approach from a side-by-side double: rather than optimizing for doorway width, it's an in-line configuration, one seat behind the other, measuring 45.2" x 24.4" overall in double mode. That's narrower than side-by-side doubles like the Bugaboo Donkey 6 in double mode, which is 29.1" wide, or Babesta's own UPPAbaby Minu Duo, which is 27.8" wide. Side-by-side doubles trade extra width for a shorter overall length; the Kangaroo's in-line layout trades length for a narrower profile, which can be the easier tradeoff on a narrow city sidewalk or in a single-file hallway.
